Here at The Sudsi Soap Company, when it comes to natural handmade soap, we think the bar should be beautiful before you have even used it, and kind to your skin every day after. Every Sudsi bar is handmade in small batches in Formby, on the Sefton coast in North West England. Our makers pour, layer, sculpt and finish each design by hand, which is why no two bars are ever identical. The seashells, roses, pebbles and woodland details you see on our sculptural soaps are not decorations added on top. They are soap, sculpted piece by piece and set into the bar itself.
What makes our soap natural?
We build every recipe around a gentle, skin-loving base enriched with shea butter and nourishing plant oils, scented with carefully blended fragrance and essential oils. Our soaps are cruelty free and suitable for use on body and hands, and every gift box is recyclable.
Inspired by the coast we call home
Our designs begin a few minutes from our door: the dunes and pinewoods of Formby, the wide sands of the Sefton coast, English rose gardens in high summer. The Atlantic Ocean bar carries the shoreline in miniature. Formby Woodland sets a spring forest floor into soap. Queen Mary's Rose Garden preserves full-bloom roses you can hold in your hand.

Is handmade soap better for sensitive skin?
Many people with sensitive skin prefer handmade soap because small-batch makers can use gentler, simpler ingredient lists. Every skin is different, so check the ingredient card included with each bar and patch test if you are prone to reactions.
How long does a handmade soap bar last?
With daily use, a full-size Sudsi bar typically lasts three to four weeks. Keep it on a draining soap dish between uses and it will last noticeably longer. Many customers keep their sculptural bars on display and use a plainer bar day to day.
